These easily may be some of the coolest mugs I have made. They were thrown on the pottery wheel, then I hand-built the faces, ears, mushrooms, and moss on each unique rotten mug. The insides feature a drippy swirling spiral of glaze that is just as wonderful as the intricate outsides.
Stoneware clay, underglaze, glaze, fired to cone 6.
I used to do a lot of mushroom and mossy cups in college and missed them. A few months ago I got the idea to combine that style with my face mugs and this is the result. So happy with how these came out!!
